Basic Keelboat Sailing
The course is 18 hours in length, all sessions are three hours each. The course has two theory sessions consisting of "Theory 1" and "Know Your Knots", making up six of the eighteen hours. The remaining twelve hours are four practical session on the water sailing the J/22s, each practical is three hours in length.
Prerequisites
No prerequisites required for this course. Although it would make you feel more comfortable on the water, you do not need to know how to swim.
Upon Completion
Upon completion, students will be able to skipper a small sailboat, and crew on larger boats. ASA (American Sailing Association) Basic Keelboat Sailing (ASA 101) certification is available upon completion of this course.

Availability
All of the Victoria Sailing School's courses are a combination of theory (taught at the Colorado Executive Club Building) and practical (taught at either Chatfield Reservoir, Cherry Creek Reservoir or Lake Carter) sessions.
