Of all the excitement that can be generated sailing, there is little to rival the thrill of

FLYING THE KITE (Spinnaker to North Americans)

With a few short classes, we can make you feel at home with this unrivaled downwind sail.

Spinnaker Sessions are held at either Cherry Creek or Chatfield Reservoirs on stable, sloop rigged keelboats (the J/22).  Standard format uses the spinnaker to work your way downwind and then use the engine to power back upwind to get as much time as possible with the spinnaker.

  • Gybing the spinnaker
  • Rounding the Marks
  • Different methods of dousing the spinnaker
  • Man Overboard with the spinnaker

  • Crew Positioning

  • One (3) Hour Dry Land Theory Sessions on September 28, 2016.
  • 3 Three (3) Hour Practical Sessions
