Mike has been sailing with the Victoria Sailing School since 2002.
A retired United Airlines pilot, Mike splits his time between his boat in the Virgin Islands and his house in Denver.
He took lessons (ASA 101 & 103) from the Victoria Sailing School in 1996 and like most pilots, understood the mechanics and conepts immediately. Prior to purchasing his first boat, he chartered in Australia, the San Juan Islands, San Diego, San Francisco & Florida. He has owned two boats, first purchasing a Beneteau 463, then downsizing to a Choy Lee Clipper 36 (that he still owns and keeps in the U.S. Virgin Islands).
He tested for and received his USCG Captain's papers in 2005.
